The objective of the present study was to determine the prevalence of enteroparasites in patients treated at the Iquitos Cesar Garayar García Hospital, January-December 2021. The research design used was descriptive, prospective and cross-sectional. The population consisted of a total of 1,058 stool samples for direct stool examination, which met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The technique used in data collection was the primary source collection and the data collection instrument was the results sheets. The results found in our study, according to sex, were 44% (467) were male and 56% (591) were female. The age group was 12% (129) corresponds to the group of “0 to 5 years“, 5% (58) corresponds to the group of “6 to 10 years“, 8% (80) corresponds to the group of “11 to 18 years old”, 16% (167) corresponds to the group of “19 to 29 years old”, 40% (419) corresponds to the group of “30 to 59 years old” and 19% (205) corresponds to the group of “older to 60 years”. The prevalence found in our study, according to gender and species with greater frequency isolated were that, 22% (236) corresponds to Cyst of Entamoeba coli, 12% (129) corresponds to Cyst of Blastocystis hominis, 11% (120) corresponds to a Giardia lamblia cyst, 8% (87) corresponds to Endolimax nana cyst, 7% (76) to Ascaris lumbricoides eggs. In addition, a predominance of monoparasitism (95%), over biparasitism (4%) and polyparasitism (1%) was found.
