The management of hospital solid waste is a health security system that begins at the point of generation, to continue its management in the different units of the hospital, until it reaches its final destination outside the establishment, for treatment or treatment. proper arrangement. The present research work "Evaluation of the Management of Hospital Solid Waste in the Regional Hospital of Loreto Felipe Santiago Arriola Iglesias, January - March, 2022", had its development under the context of evaluating the management of solid waste generated in the Regional Hospital of Loreto, its main objectives were to evaluate the hospital solid waste management cycle, determine the characterization of hospital solid waste in each service, determine the level of knowledge of the workers about the RSH management plan standard. The research was descriptive, the research design was cross-sectional descriptive. The population was made up of the personnel who work in the hospital and who generate solid waste on a daily basis. Among the results, an average daily generation of approximately 650 to 710 Kg per day was determined, likewise there is a class of bio-contaminated waste 352 kg/day, special waste 0 kg/day and common waste 353 kg/day. . It was determined that the care staff is properly trained in the management of Hospital Solid Waste. These results show that more than 90% of the interviewees recognize the importance of acquiring technical knowledge and professional skills related to the management of hospital solid waste, within the framework of biosafety and epidemiological policies developed by the establishment.
