The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of isolated uropathogens in the microbiology service of the Regional Hospital of Loreto “Felipe Santiago Arriola Iglesias“ from January to June 2020. The research design used was descriptive, prospective, and cross-sectional. The population consisted in total of 437 urine samples for urine culture and that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The technique used in data collection was the primary source collection and the data collection instrument was the results sheets. The most frequently isolated uropathogens were: Escherichia coli 23% (n = 8), followed by Pseudomona aeruginosa 17% (n = 6) and Klebsiella pneumoniae 15% (n = 5). The age group with the highest frequency of isolated uropathogens were adults who accounted for 44% (n = 14), young people 33% (n = 9), children 18% (n = 6) and older adults 15% (n = 5). The antimicrobial susceptibility for the most isolated uropathogen that was E. coli, resistance was found for ampicillin, ceftazidime, ceftriaxone and trimethoprim / sulfamethoxazole in 100%, the sensitivity for ertapenen, levofloxacin, imipenem and nitrofurantoin was 100%.
