The objective of the research was to identify the types of use of the Chambira plant fiber useful to diversify crafts; the research design was descriptive, the population was made up of 25 artisans, who make up the association and its sample corresponded to 06 people. The study concludes that most of the artisans currently do not cut the palm or harvest because they do not plant the chambira palm that to obtain the raw material they must buy from other communities or go to the port of Nanay to buy. The vegetable fiber is used mainly for the elaboration of handicrafts. In addition, they diversify the use of palm in the manufacture of bags and jewelry, frequently renew their products in order to have more variety for sale. They consider that they can sustainably harvest this resource by cutting the bud in a crescent because that helps to preserve the palm to continue harvesting it for much longer.
