The objective of this thesis is to make a comparison of two asphalt mixtures using the MAC-2 and ASTM-3515 gradation, using the Hamburg Wheel test, and finally to analyze which of these two mixtures has a better resistance to permanent deformation. Taking into account that the asphalt mixture with ASTM-3515 gradation complies with the AASHTO T-324 standard, which requires 20,000 passes, the MAC-02 gradation does not comply with the requirements of the standard and does not have a good rutting performance and presents detachment of the aggregates. The performance tests carried out seek to determine the behavior of the asphalt mixtures to the most frequent problems that occur in asphalt mixtures, such as resistance to permanent deformation, so the Hamburg Wheel test was carried out to determine the susceptibility to permanent deformation or rutting. These tests will allow determining the performance of the asphalt mixes and their behavior in service.
