The purpose of this study is to make a comparison between the time spent in the execution of a paving project and the cost per square meter that will be obtained when financing said proposals among the selected study alternatives. For this, the methodology used on the one hand is quantitative, so equivalent technical and economic models will be developed for both versions of pavements which will be compared. On the other hand, the technical part involves the study of pavements equivalent to their rigid and flexible versions that will be developed through a matrix that considers equivalent designs based on two parameters of traffic and soil. Taking into account that flexible pavements have shorter periods of useful life in contrast to rigid pavements that have longer periods of useful life. Among the results obtained, we can see the final thicknesses shown by the calculation of the previously subsequent pavements, as well as their cost and the time it would take to build if deciding on one or the other. In conclusion, the rigid pavement would be the best option to use technically, although initially it is more expensive in the long term, the maintenance cost is lower.
