The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of the Sars Cov 2 antigen in patients treated at Hospital I Octavio Mongrut Muñoz, JanuaryMarch 2021. The research design used was descriptive, prospective, and crosssectional. The population consisted of a total of 7288 epidemiological files for the rapid SARS-CoV-2 test of patients treated at Hospital I Octavio Mongrut Muñoz, January-March 2021 and who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The technique used in data collection was the primary source collection and the data collection instrument was the epidemiological records. This study found a prevalence of 26% of the studied population that was already infected by SARS-CoV-2. According to the age group, the prevalence was that 58% (1017) positive results correspond to the “Adult” age, 22% (396) positive results correspond to the “older adult” age, 18% (319) positive results corresponds to the “young” age and 2% (35) of positive results correspond to the “child” age and according to sex, 1767 results were positive for antigen against Sars-Cov-2, which corresponded to 898 (51%) they were male and 869 (49%) were female.
