Introduction The beginning of feeding as a complement to the body's need for its growth and development of those under 24 months of age is of vital importance because breastfeeding at that age does not meet the basic requirement for its nutrient (1) Objective To determine the association between food supplementation and supplementary deficit in children under one year of age, in the IPRESS I-2 Santa Clara de Nanay of the city of Iquitos, district of San Juan Bautista 2020. Methodology The study was quantitative, descriptive - correlational; the design was nonexperimental, cross-sectional, the sample was made up of 54 clinical records of boys and girls under one year of age. The data were processed through the SPSS version 22.0 statistical package database for Windows and the non-parametric inferential statistical test called Chi square. Later elaborating the respective tables and graphs. Results 77.77% of children under one year of age had Adequate Food Supplementation and 22.23% Not Adequate. 53.70% without supplementary deficit and 46.30% with supplementary deficit. Conclution Children under one year of age received adequate food supplementation and a laboratory result without supplementary deficit.
