The objective of this research was to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of the modification of a CLAY UNDERWATER WITH LIVING LIME AS A STABILIZING MATERIAL IN THE AAHH LAS COLINAS, CALLE LAGUNAS - SAN JUAN BAUTISTA - 2021, serving as a study so that it later forms part of the structure of the construction of your Pavement onwards. Laboratory tests were carried out: Granulometric Analysis, consistency limits, determination of the maximum specific weight and optimum humidity (Proctor), and the Relative Support Value (CBR), of the material in its natural state; and similarly stabilized with quicklime. These tests carried out allow us to verify the positive changes that were generated due to the addition of lime in different proportions. The development of the project was divided into 3 phases: In the first phase, the sample was collected using a 1.50-meter deep pit, in the second, the laboratory was carried out for the corresponding tests, having applied proportions of 1%, 3% and 5% quicklime. Finally, the results obtained were processed, comparing them with each other and with the results of other researchers. The application of lime as a stabilizing material in its different proportions, achieved the improvement of the soil, obtaining the following results: NATURAL SOIL a CBR of 4.82%, for SOIL - LIME (1%) a CBR of 11.20%, for SOIL - LIME (3%) a CBR of 17.60%, for SOIL - LIME (5%) a CBR of 19.30%. It is observed that, with increasing quicklime, the strength and bearing capacity california improves satisfactorily.
