Introduction Neonatal mortality is a health problem in our country, with mothers being the main strategy for reducing neonatal morbidity and mortality, so they must have an adequate level of cognitive, procedural and attminating about the care that the newborn receives. Objective Determine the level of knowledge about newborn care in mothers of AAHH Eliane Karp – San Juan, November 2020 Methodology 67.2% of mothers have an adequate level of knowledge about newborn care; more than 50% have adequate level on stimulation, feeding, rest, sleep, and hygiene; only 27.6% have adequate knowledge about newborn vaccines, the level of knowledge was significantly related to the age and parity of the mother. Results 67.2% of mothers have an adequate level of knowledge about newborn care; more than 50% have adequate level on stimulation, feeding, rest, sleep, and hygiene; only 27.6% have adequate knowledge about newborn vaccines, the level of knowledge was significantly related to the age and parity of the mother. Conclusion The mothers of AAHH Eliane Karp have mostly an adequate level of knowledge about newborn care, with their least knowledge being the size of vaccines.
