The scarcity and deterioration of public spaces and green areas of the city of Iquitos, are the result of a disorderly growth in the urban plot, and a reflection of the weakness of territorial planning instruments on the urban landscape. In order to favor the access of citizens to places where they can interact with nature, it seeks to recover the sachachorro area including the sachachorro ravine, as these are green spaces that cannot be inhabited, but which has great potential as natural public space. The linear parks of ravine in the city of Iquitos, are unusual, since there is still no linear park with this characteristic, in this way, this proposal becomes a tool to recover the area of the ravine and provide natural public spaces. However, the concept of a linear park goes beyond being a simple green space, which implies that these must be conceived as spaces that fulfill an ecological, urban and social functionality, in an integral way. For this reason, the objective of this research is to raise the conceptual and analysis elements, which allow identifying the environmental, urban and social use features that should characterize our city and make them, starting point elements for a possible evaluation of its environmental sustainability.
