Introduction The Human Papilloma Virus is an infection that is transmitted through sexual contact. It is extremely common. Most women of childbearing age become infected within a few years of starting sexual activity. It is the leading cause of cervical cancer, penile and anal cancer in both men and women. The same types of HPV that infect the genital areas can infect the mouth and throat. Objective Determine the level of knowledge about the Human Papilloma Virus in users attended at the IPRESS Bellavista Nanay 2020. Methodology A quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional and prospective study. The population was made up of users who attended the IPRESS Bellavista Nanay in February 2020. Results. Among the sociodemographic characteristics, it was found that they were between 26 and 36 years of age (40.7%), secondary level (45.8%) from an urban-marginal area (52.5%) cohabiting marital status (67.8%), independent occupation (54.2%) , received information on HPV (64.4%). In the Gyneco-obstetric characteristics it was found: IRS (81.4%) the users were multiparous (54.2%), without a history of STIs (96.6%), No. of sexual partners from 1 to 2 (72.9%), Papanicolaou (72.9%) ), last Pap smear two years ago (47.4%). High level of knowledge about HPV (54.2%). Conclusions. The level of knowledge about HPV is related to the information previously received about HPV, but not with the other sociodemographic and Gyneco-Obstetric characteristics.
