Introduction: Lto malnutrition is the cause of more than 30% death under the age of 5, and prevalent in families w ith low income, low social status, limited access to food, under environmental conditions, inadequate sanitation or, and inadequate health care Objective: Determine the-actors determining malnutrition in children 6 to 36 months of Santa Clara the Nanay Populated Center Matherial M and methods: It is of quantitative type, observational design, transversal, prospective, correlational, evaluating 133 children 6 to 36 months and their mother, through the interview; the analysis of the data was used the software SPSS version21.0. Results: 36.9% of children aged 6 to 36 months have some degree of malnutrition; 57.1% mild acute malnutrition, and 34.7% moderate acute malnutrition. Factors such as adolescents, student occupation, low level of economic income, breastfeeding less than 6 months, non-compliance with the vaccination and control schedule by the CREDE program, lack of water and drainage services significantly associated with increased frequency of malnutrition Conclusion: The study finds that malnutrition in children aged 6 to 36 months is a health problem at the Santa Clara Populated Center in Nanay; being a multifactorial problem, which requires comprehensive attention for its control.
