Objective: To determine the efficacy of respiratory physiotherapy in the recovery of post- COVID 19 pulmonary syndrome in moderate cases, treated at the Hospital Militar Central from January to July 2021. Materials and methods: Non-experimental correlational research, whose population was made up of 126 moderate post-COVID 19 patients who received respiratory physiotherapy in the hospital, likewise for the collection of information, the medical records were used and to answer the objectives, the Wilcoxon and Mc Nemar tests were applied. The results showed that the mean saturation was lower before receiving respiratory physiotherapy than after receiving it (94.9±2.5% vs 97.0±1.8%). While in the case of the means of respiratory rate (20.0±1.9 vs 18.1±1.3), heart rate (87.9±15.4 vs 82.7±12.6), Borg index (2.3±1.4 vs 1.6±1.2) had higher values before of physiotherapy than after therapy. Then, significant variation was evidenced in terms of the percentage of patients with normal values before and after respiratory physiotherapy: at saturation 62.7% vs. 92.9% (p<0.001), respiratory rate 42.9% vs. 96% (p<0.001), heart rate 69% vs. 93.7% (p<0.001), Borg index 55.6% vs. 80.2% (p<0.001) and chest X-ray results 11.9% vs. 38.1% (p<0.001). It is concluded that respiratory physiotherapy was effective in the recovery of 43.65% of patients with parameters of post-COVID-19 pulmonary syndrome.
