This paper focuses on the improvement of subcontractor scheduling in the pouring and formwork processes of vertical and horizontal elements in multifamily construction projects in Lima, using the 4D BIM methodology. In the construction industry, effective subcontractor management and coordination is crucial to ensure productivity and project success. However, in practice, a frequent lack of efficient planning is observed leading to schedule delays, cost overruns and a decrease in the final quality of the work. The main objective of this research is to develop a planning improvement proposal involving BIM 4D and proprietary formats, where productivity indexes, activity duration and actual cost of the item are indicated. In this way, it is possible to integrate three-dimensional information of the project with the execution schedule, facilitating the visualization and simulation of the construction progress in a virtual environment. In addition, these tools are expected to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, improve coordination between the different specialties and subcontractors, and thus optimize the use of resources and time. It was obtained that in the vertical elements casting items, the productivity index increased by 33%, as well as the time established in the execution of the items analyzed in the horizontal elements is less than 49 days with the same time of the horizontal elements.
