The digital transformation of public universities is a radical change that every organization in the current context must implement, if it wants to stay competitive and achieve results in this scenario of constant changes caused by the new way of thinking of the digital client and disruptive technological changes. Within these changes, the process component is a key factor in the transformation since it implies how the new digital services will be provided and it is the component that will translate the demand of the new digital clients into products and services that improve the experience of their clients. The transformed process model implies the highest level in terms of process design, alignment and digitization. Universities are not exempt from transforming, it is a short-term challenge, and a key factor is how it will conceptualize its operating model and should be oriented towards a more dynamic, flexible, automated, collaborative, transparent, mobile, multi-channel, simple and sure that the new educational digital environment demands. The research focuses on the digital transformation of public university processes, based on disciplines such as: TOGAF-FEAF business architecture, data science, information security, agile methodologies, design thinking, in a process architecture framework, each one of which will provide integrated solutions to define a process model that meets the demand for new requirements in terms of processes. The BPM application will redesign the management processes to automate them, the design thinking to identify the demand for new experiences, the architecture to align with the business strategy and vision. This will allow us to indicate what capacities public universities must develop to make this radical change that allows them to keep updated and competitive.
