The present investigation tries to solve the following problem: How can the operating parameters of the axial fans be determined for their correct operation and maintenance in an underground mining company in the absence of specialized software? Our hypothesis is: The design of a test bench, based on the AMCA 210 standard, influences the improvement of the operation and the reduction of the cost of maintenance. Our objective has been to design the test bench to determine these operating parameters of the axial fan, basically to push the air to the places where it cannot enter naturally. This work is justified because it allows to resolve an adequate selection of these devices and adapt them to the operating conditions, thus avoiding the unnecessary expenses of corrective maintenance and guaranteeing the permanent comfort of all the operating personnel. this research can be replicated in other fan applications in similar operations. The research is applied technological, quantitative correlational level and the design is experimental. The results of the research are reflected in the decrease in the cost of corrective maintenance. The good calibration of the fan at its optimum working point has allowed the fan to increase its performance in delivering air flow and pressure, increasing the useful life of the fan and reducing maintenance costs.
