A quantitative study was carried out, with a cross-sectional and non- experimental design to determine the relationship between motivation and self- regulation in tree groups of anatomy students of the Veterinary Medicine career at the university in Lima -Perú. Where they were used tree different teaching methods as motivational variables for learning the subject and analyze their effect on self- regulation. The sample consisted of a total of 127 students, which was divided into three study groups. To group one, made up of 37 students, the ABP method was applied. Group two was made up of 44 students to whom the method based on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs from now on) was applied. Group three consisted of 46 students, with whom the traditional teaching method based on the teacher's lecture and dissection of anatomical samples was used. The modified MSLQ test, divided into two parts, was applied to the three mentioned groups. The first part consists of 45 questions, designed to measure motivation; and the second part, with 30 questions, to determine self-regulation. The applied test was validated by expert judgment and submitted to Cronbach's Alpha reliability analysis. From the results found, it was concluded that there is a positive correlation between motivation and self- regulation. Likewise, the motivation generated by the traditional teaching strategy had a greater effect on self-regulation in the learning of Veterinary Anatomy students.
