The objective of this research work was formulated by general objective to determine the influence of the museums of Tacna in the regional history in the learning of the local identity in students of the Public Pedagogical Higher Education School “José Jiménez Borja ̈ de Tacna. To meet this objective, the work was carried out under the following methodology: quantitative approach, of the applied type, with a pre-experimental design and with a method deductive hypothetical. The sample consisted of 60 students from the school of Public Pedagogical Higher Education “José Jiménez Borja ̈ de Tacna. The instrument used for data collection was the knowledge test. With this, it came to be with the following conclusion: Tacna's museums had a significant influence on level of 0.000 in regional history in the learning of local identity in students of the Public Pedagogical Higher Education School “José Jiménez Borja ̈ de Tacna. of this In this way, it was possible to demonstrate by means of the Student's t test, that making visits to the museums, leads to improve the learning of the local identity of the students, thus contributing to education at a higher level.
