The objective of this research work is to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and physical education classes in the context of the return to face-to-face teaching in high school students enrolled in Innova Schools, Santa Clara campus, located in Ate, Lima, in 2022. The work was framed in a quantitative perspective, using a non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design. The instruments used included the Emotional Expression, Management and Recognition Evaluation Scale, as well as the Questionnaire of Attitudes towards Physical Education, applied to measure the variables of emotional intelligence and physical education, respectively. The sample consisted of 32 first-grade high school students belonging to the Innova Schools Educational Institution, Santa Clara campus in Ate, Lima, in the period 2022. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test was carried out, the results of which indicated a non-parametric distribution of the data. In order to test the hypotheses raised, the Spearman Rho statistic was used. The results obtained in relation to the general hypothesis revealed a p value equal to 0.014, accompanied by a correlation coefficient of 0.429. This leads to the conclusion that there is a positive correlation between the variables under study, although of a moderate nature.
