The objective of this research work was to evaluate the impact of the MIMEJU spelling program in reducing dysorthography among first-year high school students at the Augusto B. Leguía Educational Institution, in the Puente Piedra district, in the year 2023. In this context, a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental design were used as a research method. The sample was convenience and consisted of 35 first-year high school students from section "A" of the Augusto B. Leguía Educational Institution, in the Puente Piedra district. The instrument used was the questionnaire on the evaluation of spelling, validated by 4 experts. However, in the results, the acceptance of the general hypothesis can be observed with a significance of p = 0.000, indicating a positive and significant impact between the application of the MIMEJU spelling program and the decrease in dysorthography. In the data collection process, it was found that, in the entrance evaluation (pre-test), 66% of the students failed when using phonetic spelling, while 69% failed the exam regarding arbitrary spelling and 91% failed when using formal spelling. After implementation, in the exit test (post-test), these percentages improved to reach a passing percentage of 89%, 89% and 94%, respectively. Therefore, it was concluded that the MIMEJU spelling program has a positive impact on the reduction of dysorthography.
