The research sought to find determining factors in nutritional deterioration in patients with chronic nephropathy, undergoing renal replacement therapy. To do this, it was proposed to establish the relationship between nutritional status, serum albumin and protein intake of patients receiving hemodialysis at the Regional Hospital of Loreto "Felipe Arriola Iglesias", from October to November 2018. The study It was of a non-experimental type, with descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional design, in which measurements of weight, height, middle arm circumference, triceps skinfold; review of clinical record, emphasizing the latest laboratory results of each patient, taking from this review the result of serum albumin; An interview was also conducted, applying the 24-hour Reminder survey, after all the aforementioned, the analysis and diagnosis of each patient was made, taking into account the established standards. It was determined that there is a relationship between protein intake and nutritional status according to the BMI, it was shown that there is a statistically significant relationship between both variables; When analyzing the relationship between protein intake and nutritional status according to the PCT, we obtained as a result that there is no statistically significant relationship between both variables; When the relationship between protein intake and nutritional status was analyzed according to the CMB, it could be observed that there is no statistically significant relationship between both variables; and finally, from the analysis of the relationship between protein intake and serum albumin status, it was shown that there is no statistically significant relationship between these variables.
