The purpose of this research was to diagnose nutritional status and its relationship with eating habits, physical activity and emotional state in patients with chronic renal failure who undergo hemodialysis at the Salud Gainva SAC clinic, in the city of Iquitos, 2019. The methodology was descriptive, non-experimental, quantitative, cross-sectional and correlational, with a sample of 70 patients, anthropometric, dietary, biochemical indicators were assessed and through an anthropometric evaluation sheet, frequency surveys of food consumption, physical activity and emotional depression. Among the main results found are: with respect to the dry mass body mass index, 68% with normal BMI, 26% overweight; 46% have mild anemia and 38% have moderate anemia; with normal albumin of 46% and 38% is hypoalbuminemia; 8% have elevated urea and 90% have normal urea; 87% have elevated creatinine and 13% are at a normal level. It was found that 92% have unhealthy eating habits and only 8% with healthy eating habits and regarding physical activity 3% of patients have normal physical activity level, 64% have low physical activity and 33% They have a very low or sedentary level of physical activity. Therefore, it was concluded that there is a relationship between eating habits, physical activity, emotional depression and nutritional status of patients treated at the Gainva SAC hemodialysis clinic.
