Abstract: El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo: Determinar la calidad de vida en pacientes con
enfermedades respiratorias crónicas, la investigación abarcó una muestra de 98 pacientes
con edades entre 30 y 60 años. Metodología: se aplicó un diseño de tipo no experimental
y transversal, con un enfoque cuantitativo, orientado hacia un estudio aplicado y con un
nivel descriptivo. Materiales y métodos: los datos fueron recolectados utilizando el
cuestionario de Saint George para medir la calidad de vida, y posteriormente procesados
con el software estadístico SPSS en su versión 25. para el análisis estadístico descriptivo
que incluye cuadros y gráficos, Resultados: en el presente trabajo se observó que los
pacientes presentan un impacto total de la enfermedad con 41,84% moderado, el 39,08%
leve, 14,29% grave y 4,08% severo, el impacto en bienestar emocional se presenta en un
50% leve y 34,69% moderado, la limitación en actividades con un 36,73% leve y 28,57%
moderado, los síntomas leves se manifiesta en 41,84% y moderado en 31,63% de
pacientes, el impacto promedio es de (28,87 ± 21,24) Actividad (38,77 ± 25,64) Síntomas
(36,07 ± 23,67) y el total de Saint George (33,35 ± 20,25). Conclusión: los pacientes con
enfermedades respiratorias crónicas presentan un impacto en su calidad de vida
mostrando una tendencia de moderado a grave.
