Objective: Determine the relationship between family functionality and the psychomotor development of boys/girls aged 3 to 5 years of the I.E. 0314 "Tupac Amaru" Independence – 2024 Material and method: The research study is quantitative of a correlational type, descriptive with a cross-sectional section since it is considered a study due to the variable that presents a reality. It is cross-sectional due to the information that will be obtained given a given space and time. It is correlational because the relationship is allowed to occur through the variables that are family functionality and psychomotor development. Results: it is obtained that family functionality in its degree of severe dysfunction was 17.3% (n=23), moderate dysfunction was 48.1% (n=64), mild dysfunction was 23.3% (n=31), finally, only 11.3% (n=15) of the study population maintain good family functionality, while in psychomotor development they are delayed in 24.1% (n=32), followed by risk 15.8% (n=21), and finally children with normal psychomotor development in 60.2% (n=80), while in the relationship a p value of 0.518 was obtained. Conclusions: It is concluded that there is no significant relationship between family functionality and the psychomotor development of preschoolers, which indicates that it will not be necessary to have good family functionality to obtain good psychomotor development.
