This research shows that corruption in the public sector has taken on greater prominence since the last international crisis of 2008. Because with this event countries incurred to take better care of their public treasure. It also raises whether or not there is a relationship between Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) and a number of economic variables: Consumption (C), Investment (I), Public Expenditure (P) and Tax (T). To this end, it is demonstrated through the econometric model of cointegration, Corruption Perceptions Index has dynamism with the variables Public expenditure and Investment, while with the variables Consumption and Tax Revenue do not exist. In addition, it is mentioned whether or not there is a cointegration relationship between corruption over economic variables. For this purpose, to do this, a time series model is estimated for a sample from Perú, in the period 1980-2016. The main result indicates that there is a cointegration relationship between some economic variables and Peruvian Corruption Perception Index.
