Preserving and maintaining the health of a newborn has always been a priority in the family unit; care and protection is based on good health that begins from birth. Objective: to explain the cultural beliefs of multiparous mothers in the care of the newborn at the Clinic of Lima Norte - 2022, with a quantitative approach methodology, basic type of descriptive level and cross section. The results: general care dimension, mothers aged 26-35 years made adequate beliefs with 42%, in post-vaccination 18% used paracetamol and 2% cold cloths, in signs of alarm and scald 100% used gaseovet, 18% provided washing genital, in cultural syndromes the most practiced were: use of huayruro, susto, evil eye. In conclusion, multiparous mothers, if they make adequate beliefs regarding the care of the RN, due to the experience of having been mothers, in turn still carry out care according to their ancestral knowledge.
