The objective of the research was to determine the geomechanical characterization for the design of drilling and blasting mesh, Sofia 3m x 3m cut, Marfer Mine, Pataz 2022. The methodology used had a quantitative approach, of applicative type and descriptive non-experimental design. The instruments used were the field data collection format (RQD, RMR, GSI and Barton's Q System), from which comparative tables were made for the fourth quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of the 2022 school year. The results showed that the geomechanical study of the rock allowed with the new blasting mesh to increase the number of shots by 7.37 % as well as productivity. In addition, the progress made with the new mesh created was considerably improved by 17.7%. Finally, once the geomechanical mapping was performed in each of the blasts, it was determined that there is a positive influence on the decrease of poor perforations by 50.04 %. In conclusion, with the analysis, we can clarify the great importance of using geomechanical mapping after each blasting, since the rock varies constantly, being able to find different geological features.
