Organizational cynicism, understood as a set of negative attitudes and derogatory behaviors of workers towards the organization where they work, generally tends to decrease productivity causing negative consequences in the organization. This type of behavior could be influenced by factors such as the labor-state bond and sex. The objective of the present study was to compare the organizational cynicism according to the labor-state link and sex in the administrative personnel of a Decentralized Public Organization in Trujillo. The design corresponded to a descriptive-comparative investigation. The population was made up of 64 contracted collaborators belonging to the administrative staff of a Decentralized Public Organization in Trujillo. The groups in comparison were determined by the type of labor-state link (under D.L. 728 and under D.L. 1057); and according to sex (male and female), to whom the Organizational Cynicism Scale was applied. The results indicated that the organizational cynicism differs in a highly significant way according to the labor-state link, p = .010 and according to sex, p = .002 in the referred collaborators. As conclusions, organizational cynicism was compared according to labor-state link and sex in the administrative personnel of a Decentralized Public Organism, evidencing that in the administrative personnel hired under D.L. 728 obtained a higher average in organizational cynicism 38.5 than the personnel hired under D.L. 1057 which obtained 28.5; as well as that in the administrative personnel of feminine sex a greater average in organizational cynicism was evidenced, than the masculine sex in general level and in the Behavioral dimension.
