The present investigation had as a general objective, to implement a gray water reuse system in the toilets of 5 homes, to optimize the consumption of drinking water in the C.P.M. Puylucana, District of the Inca Baths, 2022. The following methodology was used: The research according to its nature is descriptive and according to its purpose it is applied because it is born with the intention of addressing the problematic reality of drinking water scarcity, the observation technique was used and the registration form was used as an instrument. monthly drinking water consumption per home. The population is constituted by 83 houses of the C.P.M. de Puylucana and the sample is made up of five houses in the community, which were selected for the convenience of the researcher. The procedure was: Capture the gray water from five provisional homes, to give it a primary treatment in a grease trap and a secondary treatment in a Biofilter (artificial wetland), then store it in a tank, to distribute it by gravity to the toilets of 5 contributed homes , in order to optimize the consumption of drinking water. The main conclusion was that the implementation of the gray water reuse system in the toilets of five houses with a grease trap and a biofilter 4.42 m long, 1.65 m wide and 0.45 m deep, allows a saving of drinking water of 42%.
