Resumen: The objective of the research is to apply the time study in the picking process of multi-SKU pallets in a distribution center. There is no history, no time has been established for the collection process. Therefore, there are thousands of packages that have been stored for years without dispatch, which causes a shortage of supplies in retail stores. In the first analysis, times were taken to diagnose the status of the collection process and thus know how many packages we can work in the distribution center, from reception to dispatch, each package is worked with a time of 2,145 minutes and a route to the mobilization of 162 meters. With these results, improvements could be applied to the collection process, reducing the process tasks from 12 to 10, achieving a new time of 1.83 minutes, reducing the time by 14.69%. The design of the distribution center was improved in order to reduce the distances of the packages and have continuous operation. With this improvement, it was possible to reduce the distance from 162 to 63 meters, achieving a saving of 99 meters and improving by 61.11%. . By purchasing electric pallet trucks, the movement of packages is improved by 77.24%. The standard times for each task of the collection process were developed, reaching a time of 20.74 Packages⁄(H-H), with this the productivity of the distribution center collection process is increased.
