This thesis seeks to diagnose the relationship between financial culture and the impact of late payment on credit cards of the citizens of the district of Comas, 2020. For this, two surveys were designed to measure in a tangible way the correlation between said variables of study. In the development of the research, we worked with the variables: financial culture and late payment in credit cards. This study has a quantitative approach with a descriptive scope, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational level. Our population was taken from the citizens of the district of Comas, considering a sample was statistically determined by 384 citizens of Comas, who were selected through a voluntary non-probability sampling. The survey technique was applied to these citizens, using two questionnaire instruments and it consisted of 18 closed questions of each instrument whose model was the Likert scale, the reliability of the instrument was contrasted by means of the Cronbach's alpha test, where obtained 86.1%, affirming good reliability. The data collected were analyzed in the IBM SPSS V26 program, demonstrating the hypothesis that there is a correlation between the variables financial culture and late payment in credit cards with a significance of P value of 0.000 <0.01. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and the research hypothesis was accepted in this way, it was possible to affirm that if there is a relationship between financial culture and the impact of late payment on credit cards.
