Introduction: Work motivation is an important variable in organizations. According to various research, workers who have greater work motivation show better performance and commitment, contributing significantly to the organization (ONU, 2020). Objective: Determine the relationship between work motivation and engagement in young workers of a tour operator in Metropolitan Lima. Population: 140 workers were evaluated, 53.6% male and 46.4% female. Method: Correlational level study with non-experimental cross-sectional design, for data collection two measurement instruments were applied: Job Diagnostic Survey adapted to Spanish by Gonzales (1995) and the Utrecht Work Engagement Survey (UWES) adapted to Spanish by Benavides et al. (2009). Results: A positive and significant correlation was found between work motivation and engagement. However, no differences were found regarding sex.
