This study seeks to understand the evolution of economic activities, especially agriculture, and its correlation with the economy of the Lambayeque Region and Peru. Using indicators of participation in the gross domestic product at the regional and national level, as well as data on amounts, harvested areas, production and productivity to determine the productive structure of the agricultural sector and its impact on economic growth. Its objective is to characterize the productive structure of the agricultural sector, and verify its relationship with the economic growth of the Lambayeque Region and nationally. This will support the development of strategies, policies for the promotion and integration of regional economies at the national and global level. As well as evaluate the economic and social effects generated by the crisis caused by the COVID 19 pandemic. Applied exploration, at a descriptive explanatory level, ex post correlational; The analysissynthesis method was used to examine the statistical information, which corresponds to a longitudinal design. It concludes that the Lambayeque Region in Peru has demonstrated solid economic growth, driven by its agricultural sector. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the region maintained positive growth, contributing significantly to the national GDP. Its agricultural sector exceeded national productivity and has contributed an average of 10.2% to the gross added value of the regional economy. The region's ability to overcome challenges and resume economic growth demonstrates its strength and economic potential.
