The objective of the research was to determine the level of contamination by microorganisms in the toothbrush stored in the bedroom and bathroom of patients. Methodology: The type of research was basic with a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional approach and not experimental. It was made up of 80 brushes, where they are distributed in 02 groups of brushes stored in the bedroom and bathroom. Results: The microorganism-forming units in the toothbrush stored in the patient, there is a standard deviation of 42.4 and a minimum of 72 CFU (microorganismforming units) and the bathroom a standard deviation of 39. .2 and a minimum of 89, gram positive bacteria on the toothbrush stored in the bedroom, 50.0% present Enterococcus faecalis, in the bathroom Enterococcus faecalis 52.5%, Gram negative bacteria on the stored toothbrush in the bedroom it was 65.0% presented gram negative lactose bacilli, in the bathroom 40.0% presented gram negative lactose bacilli (-), the presence of fungi on the toothbrush stored in the bedroom and in the bathroom resulted in 0.0% of fungal microorganisms, In relation to the level of contamination by microorganisms on the toothbrush in the bathroom, regular contamination was 70.0%. Conclusion: The level of contamination by microorganisms in the toothbrush stored in the bedroom and bathroom of patients of the private office of Ica, in the bathroom resulted in a regular contamination of 70.0%, while in the bedroom it was 55.0%.
