The present research aims to analyze the relationship between mental health and resilience in a sample of older adults. For this purpose, 98 older adults, attending and non-attending a Center for the Elderly, with an age range of 60-89 years (M = 70.49; SD = 6.89) participated. The Mental Health Inventory (MHI-P) adapted to the Peruvian context and the Scale of Protective Factors of Resilience (SPF) were used. At the global level, a direct correlation between mental health and resilience was obtained; and at the dimensional level, direct and inverse correlations between the positive and negative subscales that make up both variables. Additionally, it was found that the group attending a CAM obtained higher scores on the resilience scale and the social support subscale, compared to the non-attendant group. Finally, differences were found according to sociodemographic variables such as sex and age. These findings are discussed; as well as the limitations of the study.
