Abstract: El trabajo examina la relación entre los estilos parentales y el uso problemático de internet en adolescentes, destacando cómo diferentes prácticas de crianza afectan la propensión de los jóvenes hacia comportamientos de navegación nocivos. A través de un análisis de 10 estudios empíricos, se identifican factores como la supervisión, el afecto y el control parental, y su impacto directo e indirecto en el uso problemático de internet. La revisión sugiere que un enfoque equilibrado en la crianza puede ser la clave para mitigar los riesgos asociados con la adicción a internet en esta población, enfatizando la importancia de satisfacer las necesidades psicológicas básicas de los adolescentes y promover un entorno familiar saludable. Este análisis contribuye a la comprensión de la dinámica entre los estilos parentales y la conducta digital de los adolescentes, ofreciendo insights valiosos para el desarrollo de estrategias preventivas e intervenciones dirigidas tanto a padres como a educadores.
