Evidence supports that students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have greater difficulties and fewer opportunities to get or keep a job than those with another disability. This relates to the most significant characteristics they present such as the challenges demanded by reciprocity, emotional responses, and body expression required for the development of interpersonal interaction (Hobson, 1990; as cited in Kuo et al., 2019). In this way, the development of social skills is key and fundamental to determine the future success of secondary school students who present ASD, within vocational settings with a view to employability. The present study aims to identify the different intervention programs for the development of social skills within the vocational context and to analyze the effectiveness of these programs in adolescent and young adult students who present ASD. To this end, a systematic review was carried out, following the PRISMA guidelines (2020), using the databases of Scopus, Web of Science and Proquest. Studies that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria (n=10) were selected for the analysis. The main findings of vocational intervention programs demonstrate potential in the acquisition of social skills required in the work environment, which opens future lines of research and a promising panorama for students with ASD.
