In recent years there has been a growth in the fitness market not only nationally but also in Latin America, so not only gyms, but in general companies that offer a physical training service have benefited. In 2018 the fitness market generated sales that revolve around 169 million dollars, quite an attractive figure considering that only 2% of the population of Lima attends or is enrolled in a training center. We can see that there is a great unsatisfied demand, either because the training center does not have modern machines or an adequate number of them to provide greater availability or simply is not able to accompany the member on their way to achieve their personal goals. Proof of this is that of the people who enroll in a gym, only 20% remain enrolled, the rest decide to move to another training center or simply stop caring about their physical condition. Within this unsatisfied demand we could observe the presence of people with physical disabilities. None gym in Metropolitan Lima have properly adapted spaces to receive this sector of the population that often lacks opportunities. The number of peruvians with physical disabilities in Metropolitan Lima is more than 500 thousand people, so the initiative of this project lies in offering a service not only to sports lovers, but also placing emphasis on this sector of the population. The implementation of a gym enabled for people with physical disabilities requires properly adapted machines so that they can train without any problem. For the correct design of the adapted machines we will use ergonomic knowledge in such a way that they comply with the International Ergonomic Technical Standards. Through the application of tools learned throughout the career such as market research, demand analysis, process flow and financial statements, the viability of this project will be evaluated and determined.
