The natural cosmetic cream based on pitahaya is a unique and attractive product on the market. Pitahaya has special antioxidant properties; it allows covering trends of specialization in demand and the search for brands that are increasingly responsible for health and the environment. Under this premise, this work lays the foundations for the installation of a plant that produces natural cosmetic cream based on pitahaya in order to evaluate its technical, social and economic viability. In the first place, it is planned to locate the plant in Huachipa (Lima), since it guarantees a reduction in land and transportation costs, and also facilitates the rapid supply of pitahaya from nearby producers, being an industrial zone and meeting all requirements health, energy and human capital. The demand in the first year of operation is 27 890 units. The initial price will be S/ 72 for the final consumer, this will avoid the devaluation of the brand because the sector prefers quality over price. The product will be distributed to customers (pharmacies and specialized stores) in boxes of 12 jars of 30 g each, and sales will be made through E-commerce; for all of these, the sale price will be S/ 60. The production process is semi-automatic and the bottleneck is the manual peeling operation; the maximum capacity of the plant is equivalent to 68 208 units, which guarantees the coverage of the demand in the useful life of the project. The results of the economic and financial evaluation show the profitability of the project, the total amount of the investment increases to S/ 522 656, which will be distributed in a debt-capital ratio of 1,22; while the economic Internal Rate of Return is 68,44 % and the economic Net Present Value is S/238 333. Likewise, the profitability indicators were optimistic for the financial analysis. Finally, in the sensitivity analysis it was possible to verify that the most vulnerable variable of the project is the price of the product and the probability that the project will not be profitable is 21,6 % if the financing is not carried out. Therefore, the project is considered attractive to investors.
