After a political and institutional crisis in Peru, where in a short time there were quite a few changes in the presidency of the Republic, an enormous situation of discontent, uncertainty and generalized indignation by the Peruvian population arises, which was already charged before a Congress whose members presented several investigations for corruption. The Peruvian population demonstrated and organized in massive mobilizations, thanks to the support of social networks, that they demanded, in the same voice, to remove an illegitimate president, according to protesters and multiple political observers. Thus, in November 2020, one of the largest demonstrations that has occurred in the country took place and within a completely unusual context, such as the COVID19 pandemic. The present work seeks to investigate more about the role of the networks in the protest of the Merino case, which has not been investigated previously. Thus, it implemented an analysis of various theories related to cyberactivism and organizational practices that emerged within social networks by university protesters in Lima. In the same way, it identified the most used social networks and the content shared by the students of a university in Lima. Through the implementation of both a qualitative and quantitative methodology, it was observed that people participated through social networks, with Instagram being their favorite. This is where you can observe what collective effort means for the goals of the protesters. Finally, the study analyzes the uses given to social networks by students and their offline actions during the November 2020 protests.
