The present work describes the pre-feasibility study for the installation of a pipe manufacturing plant for “Down The Hole” (DTH) and rotary drilling rigs. This research is motivated by the lack of similar pipe production plants in the country. Peru being a mining country is a perfect market to carry out this project; Therefore, the following chapters will seek to demonstrate the technical, market, social, environmental, and economic-financial feasibility of implementing this plant. The market study carried out gave as a result that the potential demand was 1 921 pipes for the year 2025. It also determined that the apparent internal demand would be 1 715 pipes for the year 2025. In addition, it was obtained that the demand of the project for the year 2025 would be 138 pipes. It was concluded that the most appropriate location is Lima and the district of Pucusana, respectively. Analyzing the demand factors, productive resources, technology and equilibrium point, it is concluded that the size of the plant is conditioned by the market demand. Finally, the ratios VANE S/ 50 202,07 and VANF S/ 150 340,52 were determined, as well as TIRE of 20% and a TIRF of 25%. The COK was calculated at 18.46% showing that the project is feasible. The total investment of S/ 1 504 474 will be recovered after approximately 4 years 5 months and 4 days of operation.
