In the present project, a pre-feasibility study was carried out for the installation of a fire extinguisher ball production plant whose general objective is to determine its technical, economic, and financial viability. The issue arises due to the need to develop innovating methods of protecting the user when fighting fires and thus be able to initiate projects so that the country develops an industry that gives a greater added value to the fire protection market. In the market study, the product and the geographical area covered by the project are defined. In the next stage, the historical demand and potential demand are analyzed to estimate the specific demand that the project will serve, as well as distribution and commercialization strategies. It was determined that the product will have a presentation of a 1,4 kilograms sphere in a cardboard box. The target market will be the homes of Socioeconomic Status A and B of Metropolitan Lima. In the plant location chapters, several factors are analyzed to determine the best location of the plant and it was determined that the plant will be in Lurín. Then, in the plant size chapter, the restrictions established by the market, technology, productive resources, and the point of equilibrium are considered. Consequently, it was determined that the plant size is 47 795 fire extinguishing balls per year. In the chapter budgets and evaluation of the project, it was determined that the total investment required is S/ 1 626 606, which is composed of tangible fixed assets, fixed intangible assets and working capital. Finally, the economic and financial evaluation is carried out to determine if the project is indeed feasible. It was concluded that a NEAV of S/ 1 786 394 and an IRER of 53,98%, as well as a NPFV of S/ 1 893 751 and IRFR of 74,76% therefore demonstrating that the project is feasible.
