Evaluation is an essential process, which allows determining the achievement of learning with the help of evaluation strategies. However, as a result of the pandemic, this process had to undergo changes to adapt to virtuality. Many teachers began to look for alternatives that fit the context, thus highlighting gamified tools as an evaluation strategy for curricular content. That is why the objective of the research is to determine the perception of primary school teachers about gamification, as an evaluation strategy for the communication area. The sample consisted of 46 primary school teachers, from 3 private educational institutions in Lima-Peru. A quantitative methodology of descriptive type was embodied; applying the scale of Sánchez-Rivas et al. (2019) and a sociodemographic file. The results revealed that the instruments have appropriate levels of validity and reliability. The descriptive statistics reflected that teachers demonstrated a positive perception of efficiency when evaluating learning through the gamification strategy in the area of communication. However, the effectiveness of gamification is discussed, because some studies expose the need to consider various factors for its complete educational efficiency.
