As people grow older, they undergo various physiological changes, resulting in the risk of falls, disability, traumatic injuries, dependence and, in the worst case, death. Objective: To determine the relationship between sarcopenia and risk of falling in older adults attending a national geriatric association Ventanilla 2024. Methodology: The research method is hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental design and cross-sectional correlational sub design. The sample consisted of 80 older adults belonging to a national geriatric association in Ventanilla, 2024. The instruments used were the SARF-C questionnaire for sarcopenia and the Tinetti test for fall risk. Results: We found in this study that the largest age range was between 60-69 years with 47.5% being mostly female with 83.8%. On the other hand, a high probability of sarcopenia was observed with 52.5%. It also shows a risk of falling with 62.5% above a lower risk of falling with 28.8%. Conclusion: Spearman's coefficient (rho= -0.562) and a significance of less than 0.05 was obtained. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a direct and significant relationship between sarcopenia and risk of falling in older adults attending a national geriatric association Ventanilla.2024.
