The objective of the research was to analyze the relationship between the management of chronic non-cancer pain and depressive symptoms in adults over 40 years of age. Method. The research was basic type, hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental design, quantitative approach, cross section, correlational scope, 183 people made up the sample, simple random probabilistic sampling, data was collected with a questionnaire survey, the hypothesis was contrasted with test of Spearman's Rho. Results. Of the total respondents, 55.7% were male, 55.4% were between 40-50 years old. In non-oncological chronic painful pathologies, between 34.4% and 56.8% presented back pain, shoulder and/or neck pain; Chronic headaches and osteoarticular pain. In pain pharmacotherapy, between 42.6% and 51.4% consumed non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs; paracetamol and tramadol. In terms of pain pharmacotherapy, between 36.6% and 56.8% the analgesic decreased pain and improved stress. In affective symptoms of depression, 71% showed little interest in enjoying things; 47% discouraged feelings; 41.5% had difficulty sleeping, in behavioral symptoms, 26.2% indicated feeling tired and 35.5% had difficulty concentrating, in everyday problems, 34.4% found it very difficult to do their work. There was a relationship between the management of chronic non-cancer pain and depressive symptoms. Conclusion. There is a low positive relationship between the management of chronic nononcological pain and depressive symptoms in adults over 40 years of age attended in three pharmacies in the district of Comas 2023.
