Introduction: All emotions are of utmost importance in our daily lives and nurses have learned to identify and control them, although not in their entirety. In health establishments they find various healthy, sick, sad and anxious people due to different situations they are going through. Nurses face an environment full of intense emotions that we must know how to deal with in order to continue carrying out our work, providing quality, humanized care and attention to achieve the well-being of the patient. Objective: “Determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance in nursing professionals of the growth and development service of health centers in the district of Comas, 2024”. The hypotheticaldeductive method, with a quantitative, applied, non-experimental, correlational and crosssectional approach, will be used in a census sample of 72 nursing professionals, the TMMS24 instrument will be applied to evaluate emotional intelligence and the job performance, which are reliable and valid. After collecting the data, they will be processed using the SPSS 27 program. In addition, the hypotheses will be tested using Spearman's correlation coefficient, given that the variables are qualitative.
