The study titled "Epidemiological Characteristics of Enteroparasitosis in Primary School Students of Educational Institution 64192, Contamana - Loreto 2024" aimed to identify the prevalence and associated factors of this condition in a vulnerable population. Using a quantitative methodology and a descriptive design, 168 students participated in the study. A high prevalence of enteroparasitosis (78%) was observed, with the most common parasites being Entamoeba coli (35.3%) and Blastocystis hominis (34.6%). Most diagnosed students were between 8 and 10 years old, with males predominating (54.2%). Inadequate hygiene practices were identified, such as irregular handwashing and sharing personal items. Although most students reported washing fruits and vegetables before consumption, a significant proportion stated that they only sometimes had access to potable water (51.9%). The study concludes that enteroparasitosis is a significant issue in the studied school community, influenced by inadequate hygiene habits and limited access to basic resources. It is recommended to implement health education programs and improve access to potable water to reduce the incidence of this disease.
