Blood tissue donation, commonly referred to as blood donation, is one of the most altruistic acts, as individuals voluntarily give up something personal to help others. Blood transfusion is crucial in the healthcare sector, as it saves countless lives globally. However, a lack of awareness and culture surrounding blood donation limits access for many patients in need. Understanding the factors that influence individuals' actions is fundamental, as identifying these factors enables immediate measures to promote blood donation. For this reason, the general objective of this study is to identify: What are the factors associated with voluntary blood donation among students over 18 years old at the Filiberto García Cuellar Institute of Education, Coracora - Ayacucho, 2023? Additionally, specific questions were formulated, seeking to uncover: What are the psychological and sociocultural factors that inhibit voluntary blood donation among students over 18 years old at the Filiberto García Cuellar Institute of Education, Coracora - Ayacucho, 2023? And what are the psychological and sociocultural factors that motivate voluntary blood donation in these students? An inductive methodology with a quantitative descriptive approach will be used. The design will be non-experimental, as no variable manipulation will occur. The population will consist of 200 students, with a sample of 132 students over 18 years old from the Filiberto García Cuellar Institute of Education, Coracora - Ayacucho, selected through simple random sampling and inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data collection technique employed will be a survey comprising items based on the variables and their dimensions, ensuring accurate evaluation.
