transversal. La población de estudio estuvo constituida por 104 pacientes adultos;
Subclinical hypothyroidism is a type generally asymptomatic thyroid dysfunction has been linked to various risk factors such as dyslipidemia cardiovascuar and often not being identified because of the lack of protocols for detection. Objective: Demonstrate the association between subclinical hypothyroidism and dyslipidemia in patients treated at the Bethlehem Hospital of Trujillo. Material and Methods: A study of analytical, observational, retrospective cross. The study population consisted of 104 adult patients; who they were divided into 2 groups: with and without subclinical hypothyroidism Results: The frequency of dyslipidemia in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism and without it was 46 % and 25% respectively. Subclinical hypothyroidism is associated with dyslipidemia with a odds ratio of 2.57 (p<0.05). The group with subclinical hypothyroidism have a higher mean total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides than the group with euthyroid patients (p < 0.05); and HDL cholesterol lower compared to the group with euthyroid patients (p < 0.05). Conclusions: There is an association between subclinical hypothyroidism and dyslipidemia in patients treated at the Belen Hospital of Trujillo.
